5 months

Charlotte is five months old. She's so much more active than Olivia was at this age. She rolls and turns in circles with purpose!

She had a stomach flu last week (as did Matthew and Olivia) and it looks like she's lost some weight, though I'm not sure how much. She doesn't look like a large baby, but she's quite long -- she wears 9-12 month clothing regularly.

No flash makes much more appealing pictures... however, it can remove hands! ;)

I think this captures her beautiful eyes well.

Olivia turned two earlier this month, and we are having a little party for her next week, Lord willing. She finished learning her alphabet a couple months ago and is very verbal. Not only can she express her needs much easier, she also says some really funny things!

A few months ago we had the two entire Smith families together and managed a photo. (Actually Samuel took several photos, and I did a bit of editing to ensure everyone was looking at the camera with a face that wasn't caught mid-conversation, looking the other way, etc.. If you look unusually bad, I apologize. I tried my best. ;)

Looking happy again. Anyone viewing these pictures is going to think she does this all the time!

She's had less issues with her stomach the past few days, so she's been much more cheerful. She's also growing well -- at her six week checkup today she weighed almost 12 pounds.

Charlotte is starting to smile at us now! She is four weeks old today.(I feel like the color looks strange on these, but I'm afraid to edit them because the monitor on this computer makes things look different.)

Her hair always looks kind of red when I take pictures with a flash. I really think she is going to have red hair when she gets older!

Here is Olivia watching an armadillo at the Arboretum. He must have been quite familiar with people -- he didn't seem to be bothered by us at all!

Normally she looks more distressed... she's a bit of a grumpy baby! But she sleeps quite well.
